Theme 'Geospatial for All - All for Geospatial' Geospatial technology is fast evolving as an important tool for various application segments. Owing to the diversified applications of geospatial techniques, its usage as a 'Service Management Tool' is being established in Malaysia. Further, geospatial tools have the potential to become an enabling platform for a wide range of application needs of various agencies in the country. In view of the relevance of geospatial technology as service management tool, Map Malaysia 2009 will have its theme as "Geospatial for All - All for Geospatial". It will explore manners and ways in which geospatial tools can reach out and benefit the country in the future. In this edition of Map Malaysia, the organizer pays full attention to the end-user by organizing four end-user seminars covering four sub-themes of key sectors with high contribution to the current and upcoming development of the country. The four sub-themes, namely Oil & Gas, Disaster Management, Utilities and Geointelligence, are inter-related and can be closely associated with geospatial technologies.
